The MCR SAFETY 48406TM is a medium-sized leather welding glove built for MIG and TIG welding applications in both warm and cold environments. The palm is constructed from premium top-grain goatskin, a supple leather that retains natural lanolin for a soft feel while delivering strong tensile strength and excellent tactile sensitivity. The interior is lined with 100g 3M Thinsulate insulation to retain hand warmth during cold-weather work. Stitching is done with Kevlar thread for heat and cut resistance, and a keystone thumb design reduces hand fatigue and improves dexterity during extended use.
These gloves are suited for professional welders, fabricators, and trade workers performing MIG and TIG welding in light industrial or field settings. The 5-inch brown split cowhide cuff extends wrist and forearm protection against sparks and spatter. A TPR (thermoplastic rubber) back panel provides impact resistance across the fingers and back of the hand. The self-hem sewn cuff adds durability at the wrist opening. Total glove length is 11 inches, including the 5-inch cuff. Sold as a pair, these gloves are appropriate for professionals who need dexterity and cold-weather protection simultaneously.
Designed as a general-purpose MIG and TIG welding glove suitable for light industrial welding, fabrication work, and cold-environment trade applications requiring dexterity and thermal protection.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for tears, worn seams, or compromised insulation. Always ensure the glove size is appropriate for the user to maintain grip and control at the weld point. Follow applicable ANSI and OSHA hand protection guidelines for the specific welding process being performed. Do not use damaged gloves in active welding operations.
