The MCR SAFETY 48406M is a full-fingered leather welding glove designed for general welding applications. Constructed from grain cowhide leather, this gauntlet-style glove provides hand and wrist coverage during MIG, stick, and light-duty welding tasks. The straight thumb design and unlined interior keep the glove lightweight and responsive, while the TPR back adds durability in high-contact areas. At 0.64 pounds per pair, the glove is manageable for extended wear on the job. It is sized for both men and women at medium and ships in a quantity of one pair per package.
These gloves are suited for general-purpose welding environments in light industrial, fabrication shop, and maintenance settings. The gauntlet cuff extends approximately 5 inches from the wrist to shield the lower forearm from spatter and heat. The grain leather construction offers a balance of dexterity and protection appropriate for general welding rather than heavy-duty or overhead operations. They are not rated for high-visibility or static-dissipative applications.
Designed as a general-purpose welding glove for light industrial and fabrication welding applications where grain leather protection and gauntlet cuff coverage are required.
Welding gloves are worn PPE and do not require mechanical installation. Inspect gloves before each use for burns, tears, or moisture that could compromise protection. Follow your facility safety program and applicable OSHA PPE standards when selecting gloves for specific welding processes. Gloves should be replaced when the leather shows significant wear, stiffness, or damage.
