The MCR SAFETY 48406KXL is an X-Large welding glove constructed from premium top-grain goatskin leather. Goatskin naturally retains lanolin, producing a soft, supple feel while delivering strong tensile strength and high tactile sensitivity. The padded palm is lined with Kevlar for added heat and cut protection, and the glove is sewn throughout with Kevlar thread for seam integrity under thermal stress. A 5-inch brown split cowhide cuff extends wrist and forearm coverage. A thermoplastic rubber (TPR) panel on the back of the hand and fingers adds impact resistance. This glove is sold as a pair and sized X-Large.
The 48406KXL is intended for MIG and TIG welding applications in light industrial, fabrication, and maintenance environments. The combination of grain goatskin dexterity and Kevlar lining makes it suitable for tasks that require both heat protection and hand feel, such as TIG welding where finger sensitivity matters. The keystone thumb construction reduces hand fatigue and improves durability at the highest-wear point of the glove. Installers, welders, and fabricators working in shops or in the field will find the unlined goatskin body and cuffed design appropriate for standard welding operations.
Designed as an OEM-style MIG and TIG welding glove suitable for standard welding and fabrication tasks requiring leather hand protection with thermal and cut-resistant lining.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for burns, cuts, or seam failures that compromise protection. Ensure gloves are dry before use near electrical sources. Replace immediately if the Kevlar lining or outer leather shows visible degradation. Personal protective equipment selection should conform to applicable ANSI and OSHA standards for the specific welding task and exposure level.
