The MCR Safety 39142 is a flame-resistant fabric bib apron designed for welding applications. At 42 inches in length, it provides substantial coverage of the torso and upper legs during hot work operations. The apron is built from FR-rated fabric that resists ignition and limits burn injury when exposed to sparks, spatter, and brief flame contact. It is worn by welders, fabricators, and pipefitters working in industrial shops, construction sites, and manufacturing environments where open-arc or gas welding is performed regularly.
This bib apron is suited for light to moderate welding tasks where fabric-based FR protection meets the job requirements. It is a standard personal protective equipment (PPE) item stocked by industrial suppliers and safety managers outfitting crews for MIG, TIG, or stick welding work. The 42-inch length makes it appropriate for standing or bench welding positions where front-body protection from the chest to below the knee is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-issue FR bib apron for welding and hot work applications requiring flame-resistant front-body protection.
This apron is donned and adjusted by the wearer before beginning hot work. Inspect the apron for burns, tears, or compromised FR fabric before each use — damaged FR PPE should be removed from service immediately. Follow your facility safety program and applicable OSHA standards for PPE selection and use in welding environments. Do not launder with bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade FR fabric performance.
