The MCR Safety 1970XXL is a thermal-lined leather palm work glove built for cold-weather and wet-condition applications. The palm is cut from premium grain pigskin leather, a material chosen for its natural moisture tolerance and larger pore structure, which allows the leather to breathe and resist stiffening in damp environments. A black fabric back complements the leather palm, and the wrist is protected by a 2.5-inch rubberized safety cuff that blocks debris and helps keep the glove seated during work. These gloves are sold as a pair and sized for 2X-Large hands.
The 1970XXL is suited for general industrial, construction, and maintenance work where workers need both hand protection and thermal comfort. The thermal sock lining makes this glove appropriate for cold storage environments, outdoor winter work, and early-morning utility or mechanical tasks. The pigskin palm holds up in conditions where cowhide or split leather would stiffen or degrade from repeated moisture exposure. The rubberized safety cuff provides additional wrist coverage without requiring a separate sleeve protector in many light-duty scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-issue work glove for general industrial, construction, and cold-environment maintenance applications requiring leather palm protection.
Work gloves of this type are issued and fitted by safety coordinators or worn directly by the end user on the job site. Inspect the palm and cuff seams before each use for wear or separation. Replace when the leather palm shows cracking, thin spots, or the thermal lining loses integrity. Follow your facility or jobsite PPE program requirements for glove class and replacement intervals.
