The MCR Safety 1717 is a heavy-duty leather palm work glove built for demanding trade and industrial applications. The glove is constructed with A+ side leather on the palm and a full leather back, providing all-around abrasion and puncture resistance. Stitching is done with heat-resistant DuPont Kevlar thread for exceptional seam strength under rugged use. An 8 oz. jersey palm lining adds interior comfort, while a 9 oz. cotton canvas back layer contributes structure and breathability. A 2.75-inch rubberized safety cuff protects the wrist and helps keep debris out during work. This glove is sized X-Large and sold by the pair.
The 1717 is designed for heavy-duty tasks across multiple trades, including construction, general contracting, landscaping, and light fabrication. The combination of full leather coverage front and back, Kevlar thread seams, and an extended safety cuff makes it well suited for environments involving sharp materials, rough surfaces, or elevated heat exposure from nearby equipment. An absorbent fleece lining is fully in-sewn at the thumb and little finger for added durability at high-wear contact points.
Designed as a general-purpose heavy-duty leather work glove for trade professionals requiring full-hand leather coverage and extended wrist protection.
Inspect gloves before each use for seam separation, leather cracking, or cuff damage that could compromise protection. Replace immediately if structural integrity is compromised. Gloves should be matched to the specific hazard level of the task in accordance with applicable OSHA hand protection requirements and site safety plans.
