The MCR Safety 1711 is a heavy-duty double palm work glove built for demanding trade and industrial applications. The palm is constructed from two layers of select side split cowhide leather stitched together with heat-resistant Kevlar thread, making it one of the most durable hand protection options in its class. A rubberized safety cuff extends 2.75 inches for added wrist protection. An 8 oz. jersey lining on the palm and a 9 oz. cotton canvas back round out the construction. This glove ships and is sold by the pair and is sized for X-Large hands.
The 1711 is suited for general construction, ironwork, pipefitting, welding-adjacent tasks, and other applications where abrasion resistance and grip durability are essential. The true double palm design is specifically intended for high-wear trades where single-palm gloves fail prematurely. The absorbent fleece lining, fully in-sewn on the thumb and little finger, adds comfort during extended wear on the job site.
Designed as an OEM-style work glove for general trade and industrial use where heavy-duty leather palm protection and cut-resistant thread construction are required.
Inspect gloves before each use for worn seams, tears, or compromised leather. Replace when palm wear or thread damage is visible, as degraded double palm integrity reduces hand protection. Follow your employer and jobsite PPE policies for glove selection and replacement intervals. Leather gloves should be kept dry when stored to maintain material integrity.
