The MCR Safety 1702M is a heavy-duty leather palm work glove built for rugged industrial and construction environments. The palm is constructed from heavy select, chrome-tanned A+ side split cow leather and lined with a non-woven Kevlar liner for added cut and heat resistance. A cotton canvas back keeps the hand cooler during extended wear. The glove is sewn throughout with Kevlar thread for superior seam strength. A rubberized 2.75-inch safety cuff protects the wrist from debris and impact. This glove is sized for medium hands and is sold as a pair. Licensed tradespeople and general labor crews in demanding environments are the primary installers and users of this product.
The 1702M is suited for heavy construction, material handling, pipe fitting, welding-adjacent tasks, and general industrial work where cut resistance, durability, and wrist protection are required. The Kevlar palm lining provides an additional layer of defense against slicing hazards, making the glove appropriate for work with sheet metal, lumber, and rough-surface materials. The gunn-cut pattern allows for a natural hand fit that reduces fatigue during prolonged use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock leather work glove for medium-sized hands in heavy industrial and construction applications requiring wrist-level cut and impact protection.
No tools or fasteners are required to put on or fit this glove. Inspect the glove before each use for cuts, tears, or seam separation that could compromise protection. Leather gloves should not be used near open flame or in direct welding arc contact unless the glove is rated and marked for that specific application. Replace when the palm leather shows significant wear-through or when seam integrity is compromised.
