EEBAs are escape-only devices and must not be used for entry into immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) atmospheres. Units should be stored in the provided carrier in a readily accessible location per the site emergency action plan and applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 requirements. Inspect the cylinder pressure gauge regularly to confirm the unit remains fully charged and serviceable. Cylinder hydrostatic testing and requalification must be performed at intervals specified by DOT regulations and the manufacturer.
