The MCGUIRE LFST09 is an angle supply stop valve with a compression inlet and an outside diameter (OD) outlet, sized at 1/2 inch compression x 3/8 inch OD. It features a wheel handle for manual shutoff control. Angle stops are installed between the water supply line coming out of the wall or floor and the fixture supply line leading to a faucet, toilet, or other plumbing fixture. This valve provides a reliable local shutoff point, allowing service or replacement of downstream fixtures without shutting off water to the entire building. Licensed plumbers and experienced plumbing technicians are the typical installers of this fitting.
The LFST09 is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where a local shutoff is needed at a sink, lavatory, toilet, or similar fixture. The 1/2 inch compression inlet connects to standard copper or compatible supply tubing at the wall, while the 3/8 inch OD outlet accepts standard flexible braided or chrome supply lines. This configuration is among the most common angle stop setups found in North American residential construction and remodeling work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation angle stop for residential and light commercial plumbing fixtures requiring a 1/2 inch compression x 3/8 inch OD angle supply stop configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing stop valve. Compression fittings require a proper compression nut and ferrule seated squarely on the tubing — do not overtighten, as this can crack the ferrule or damage the fitting body. After installation, restore water pressure gradually and inspect the compression joint and outlet connection for leaks before closing the access area.
