The MCGUIRE lfst082lk is a lead-free, chrome-plated brass angle stop valve designed for commercial plumbing supply line applications. It features a full-turn brass stem and a chrome-plated loose key handle, giving service technicians direct manual control without a standard handle exposed to the public or unauthorized users. The valve body is constructed from chrome-plated solid brass, meeting lead-free material requirements and conforming to the cUPC applicable standard. A 5-inch extension makes this valve well suited for installations where the rough-in distance requires additional reach between the wall and the supply fitting.
This angle stop valve is intended for commercial plumbing installations where controlled access to shutoff is required. The loose key actuation is commonly specified in restrooms, utility spaces, and public facilities to limit unauthorized valve operation. The inlet is a 1/2-inch sweat (soldered) connection and the outlet is a 3/8-inch OD compression fitting, accommodating standard supply tube connections to fixtures such as faucets and toilets. Licensed plumbers handle installation in new construction and retrofit applications alike.
Designed as a commercial-grade OEM-style angle stop valve for plumbing supply lines with a 1/2-inch sweat inlet and 3/8-inch OD compression outlet, typical of standard fixture supply connections in commercial restroom and utility applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before beginning any work. The sweat inlet requires soldering tools and proper flux application to the copper fitting; ensure the valve body is protected from excessive heat during soldering to avoid damage to internal components. The compression outlet connection should be hand-tightened then snugged with a wrench — do not overtighten.
