The MCGUIRE lfck09lk is a brass angle stop valve with an integral check valve, designed for controlling water supply in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It features a 1/2 inch compression inlet and a 3/8 inch OD compression outlet, with a full-turn operation for reliable shutoff. The chrome finish and compact profile make it suitable for under-sink and toilet supply installations. It is rated for operating pressures between 20 and 125 psi and temperatures from 40 to 140 degrees F under normal service conditions, with a maximum flush temperature of 180 degrees F. Licensed plumbers are the primary installers.
This angle stop valve is designed for standard residential plumbing applications including kitchen and bathroom sink supply connections and toilet fill valve supply lines. The ICV Defender series integral check valve prevents backflow at the valve, making it suitable for installations where a dedicated check valve would otherwise be required. The lfck09lk meets AB 1953 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 standards for low-lead compliance, with tested lead extractables below 0.5 grams per unit. It is appropriate for potable water systems in jurisdictions requiring AB 1953 compliance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation angle stop for residential potable water supply connections requiring a 1/2 inch compression inlet and 3/8 inch OD outlet in AB 1953 compliant systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the main water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing this valve. Compression fittings require proper tube preparation and seating to prevent leaks — do not overtighten, as this can crack the compression ring or fitting body. Verify system pressure does not exceed 125 psi before returning the line to service.
