The MCGUIRE C8902CDF is a heavy cast brass adjustable P-trap with a cleanout plug, designed for drain waste and vent applications in residential and light commercial plumbing. Built from cast brass with a 17-gauge wall construction, this trap measures 1-1/4 inch inlet by 1-1/2 inch outlet with a 10-1/2 inch center-to-end dimension and a 7.5 inch water bend depth. It ships complete with zinc die-cast slip nuts, a seamless tubular brass wall bend, and a brass deep bell flange escutcheon. Licensed plumbers install this trap as part of a lavatory or sink drain assembly where local code requires a cleanout-accessible trap configuration.
This trap is suited for residential bathroom lavatory installations and light commercial sink drain rough-ins where an adjustable cast body trap is specified. The adjustable design accommodates minor misalignment between the drain outlet and the wall stub-out, simplifying installation on retrofits and rough-in corrections. The included deep bell flange escutcheon provides a finished appearance at the wall penetration. The cleanout plug allows access to the trap seal without removing the trap from the drain line, reducing service time during drain clearing work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation cast brass P-trap for 1-1/4 inch by 1-1/2 inch lavatory and sink drain assemblies in residential and light commercial applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable International Plumbing Code or local equivalent. Shut off the water supply and clear standing water from the drain before beginning trap removal or installation. Hand-tighten slip nuts first to confirm alignment, then snug with channel-lock pliers — do not overtighten cast fittings. Verify the trap seal depth and venting configuration comply with local code before closing the wall or signing off the inspection.
