The MAZE NAILS S259S530 is a hot dipped galvanized spiral-shank hardboard siding nail designed for exterior siding applications. Each nail is manufactured from extra-stiff 11-gauge wire stock, allowing it to be driven through two thicknesses of hardboard siding without bending or deflecting. The spiral shank profile increases withdrawal resistance for a more secure hold in wood substrates. The head is sized at 3/16 inches and is engineered to drive flush with the siding surface. A double-dip hot galvanizing process coats each nail in molten zinc, providing corrosion resistance suited to exterior exposure. This box contains 445 nails and weighs 5 pounds.
These nails are intended for fastening hardboard siding panels to wood-framed residential and light commercial structures. They are recommended by hardboard siding producers and are well suited to production framing crews, siding contractors, and experienced DIYers installing or replacing lap siding, panel siding, or similar hardboard products. The 3-inch length and 11-gauge shank provide the penetration depth and stiffness needed to fasten through siding into structural sheathing or framing members.
Designed for use with hardboard siding panels in residential and light commercial wood-framed construction where a hot dipped galvanized spiral-shank nail is specified by the siding manufacturer.
Installation is typically performed by siding contractors or framing crews using a standard hammer or pneumatic nailer rated for 11-gauge ring or spiral-shank nails. Verify pneumatic tool compatibility with nail gauge and shank type before loading. Follow the siding manufacturer's fastener schedule and spacing requirements, as well as applicable local building codes, to ensure a code-compliant installation. Store nails in a dry location to prevent premature oxidation of the zinc coating prior to use.
