The MAZE NAILS S227A050 is a hot dipped galvanized wood siding nail built for exterior fastening applications where corrosion resistance and holding strength are critical. At 2.5 inches long and 13 gauge, each nail features an annular ring shank that locks into the substrate to resist pull-through and loosening over time. The double-dip hot galvanizing process coats the nail in molten zinc twice, providing a heavy corrosion-resistant layer suited for pressure-treated lumber, cedar, redwood, and other split-prone siding materials. The checkered head improves paint and coating adhesion for a finished exterior appearance. This case contains 9450 nails at a 50 pound net weight.
These nails are used in residential and light commercial exterior siding installation, including wood lap siding, shingles, and board-and-batten applications. The annular ring shank design makes them particularly well suited for resinous or split-prone woods such as cedar, redwood, and pine where smooth-shank nails may lose grip over time due to seasonal wood movement. Carpenters, siding contractors, and general contractors working on new construction or re-siding projects will find this bulk case format efficient for high-volume fastening work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fastener for exterior wood siding applications including lap siding, wood shingles, and board-and-batten installations on residential and light commercial structures.
Installation is performed by carpenters and siding contractors using a pneumatic framing or siding nailer, or by hand with a hammer. Confirm nailer magazine compatibility with 13 gauge ring shank nails before loading. Follow local building codes and manufacturer siding installation guidelines for nail spacing, edge distance, and penetration depth into framing members. Avoid overdriving nails, as excessive countersinking can compromise the holding strength of the ring shank and damage siding material.
