The MAZE NAILS H61S112 is a hardened steel fluted masonry nail designed for anchoring wood framing members directly to concrete, block, and masonry surfaces. At 10d x 3 inches in length and 9 gauge in diameter, this nail features a fluted shank that bites into masonry as it is driven, resisting pull-out and maintaining a secure hold. The 5/16-inch head provides solid bearing surface. This fastener is used by contractors, framers, and trade professionals who need a reliable mechanical connection between wood and masonry without adhesive or powder-actuated tools.
The H61S112 is suited for fastening furring strips, floor plates, and partition wall bottom plates to concrete slabs, cinder block, and similar masonry substrates in both residential and light commercial applications. Each box contains 62 nails at approximately 1 pound. For best results, drive nails no closer than 3 inches from any edge of the masonry or block, and ensure a minimum of 3/4 inch penetration into the base material. Safety glasses are required when driving hardened nails, as spalling and fragment ejection are a recognized hazard.
Designed for use in concrete, cinder block, and similar masonry substrates where wood framing members such as furring strips, floor plates, and partition walls require mechanical attachment.
Masonry nails are typically installed by framers and general contractors using a hammer or masonry nail gun rated for hardened fasteners. Always wear safety glasses when driving hardened nails, as fragments can eject unpredictably. Drive nails no closer than 3 inches from the edge of any masonry or block to prevent cracking, and verify a minimum of 3/4 inch penetration into the substrate for adequate holding strength. Pre-drilling a pilot hole in dense concrete can reduce the risk of nail breakage and improve placement accuracy.
