The MAZE NAILS CMH10112 is a hardened steel tapered masonry nail designed for fastening wood members to cinder block, concrete block, and fresh concrete surfaces. The 10d, 3-inch nail features a blunt point and tapered shank that minimize spalling during driven penetration while delivering strong pull-out resistance. A minimum of 3/4 inch penetration into the masonry substrate is recommended for secure holding. Each box contains 48 nails and weighs 1 pound, making it a practical jobsite quantity for framing, furring, and blocking applications. Carpenters, concrete framers, and general contractors are the primary installers of this fastener type.
These masonry nails are suited for residential and light commercial applications where wood framing, furring strips, sleepers, or blocking must be mechanically fastened directly to masonry substrates including cinder block walls and poured concrete slabs or walls. The tapered shank geometry provides increased friction along the fastener body, improving resistance to withdrawal forces compared to standard wire masonry nails. Available in 1 lb., 5 lb., and 50 lb. package sizes to match project volume requirements.
Designed for use with cinder block walls and fresh or cured concrete surfaces where wood-to-masonry fastening is required.
Masonry nails are driven with a hammer by experienced carpenters or concrete tradespeople; a powder-actuated tool is not required but a sturdy steel-faced hammer is recommended. A minimum of 3/4 inch penetration into the masonry substrate is recommended for adequate holding strength. Safety glasses must be worn during installation, as masonry fragments can be expelled upon impact. Do not attempt to drive these fasteners into hardened structural concrete without verifying that the nail hardness is appropriate for the substrate.
