Product Description

The MATCO-NORCA zmbcpr0402 is a black malleable iron reducing coupling designed for threaded pipe systems in commercial and residential plumbing, fire protection, and gas distribution applications. It reduces a 3/4-inch female-threaded inlet to a 3/8-inch female-threaded outlet and is rated for 150 psi service pressure at temperatures up to 350 degrees F. The fitting meets ASTM A197/A197M material standards and carries UL and FM listings, making it suitable for fire-sprinkler and industrial piping systems where listed fittings are required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and fire-protection contractors are the primary installers.

This reducing coupling is used wherever a threaded pipe run must transition from 3/4-inch to 3/8-inch pipe. Installation Notes

Apply an approved pipe-thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the intended service medium to the male threads before making up the joint. Do not over-tighten threaded malleable iron fittings, as the material can crack under excessive torque.
