The MATCO-NORCA dun-1509 is a 1-1/2 inch lead-free dielectric union designed for connecting copper sweat (solder) pipe to female NPT-threaded pipe in potable water and hydronic systems. It prevents galvanic corrosion at the joint where dissimilar metals meet by incorporating an electrically isolating sleeve and washer. The fitting ships ready to solder on the copper side and thread on the iron or steel side. Installation Notes
