The MASTER LOCK COMPANY MLK497A is a pack of 12 heavy-duty English-language lockout/tagout tags designed for use in LOTO safety programs across industrial and commercial facilities. Each tag is constructed from durable polyester laminate that resists water, grease, and extreme temperatures, making them suitable for demanding work environments. The tags feature a 7/16 inch diameter brass grommet that is compatible with all standard safety padlocks. Heavy-duty construction delivers over 50 pounds of pullout force resistance, helping tags stay secured throughout a lockout procedure. Licensed electricians, maintenance technicians, and safety personnel rely on these tags to meet OSHA lockout/tagout compliance requirements.
These tags are appropriate for use in residential, commercial, and industrial maintenance scenarios wherever LOTO procedures are mandated. Each tag includes space to record the installer's name, department, and expected completion time, supporting clear communication during equipment servicing. The pack includes 12 ties for secure attachment to lockout points. They are well suited for energy control programs in facilities requiring written, standardized lockout/tagout documentation at the point of isolation.
Designed for use with all standard safety padlocks. The 7/16 inch brass grommet provides a universal fit across common lockout/tagout hardware used in industrial and commercial LOTO programs.
Lockout/tagout tags are applied by qualified maintenance technicians, electricians, or any authorized employee performing energy isolation under a written LOTO program. Always de-energize and isolate all hazardous energy sources before attaching tags per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 requirements. Attach each tag securely through the grommet using the included tie and confirm the tag cannot be removed without deliberate effort. Tags alone do not provide a physical lock and must be used in conjunction with a lockout device or safety padlock where required by the energy control procedure.
