The MASTER LOCK A7200 is a steel-body padlock with a chrome-plated finish, designed for general-purpose security applications in commercial and industrial environments. The body measures 1-3/4 inches wide and 7/8 inches thick with a rectangular profile. It uses a 7-pin tubular key cylinder with keyed-different operation, meaning each lock ships with its own unique key set. The boron alloy shackle measures 5/16 inches in diameter with 3/4 inches of clearance width and 1-1/8 inches of height. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, facilities maintenance crews, and lockout/tagout safety programs commonly use padlocks of this type for equipment isolation and access control.
The A7200 is suited for gate hasps, toolbox latches, storage enclosures, and LOTO (lockout/tagout) applications where individual key control is required. The keyed-different configuration makes it appropriate for multi-user environments where each technician or crew member needs a separately keyed lock. The chrome-plated steel body holds up in sheltered outdoor and indoor service environments. It is sold and packaged as a single unit.
Designed as a keyed-different replacement or supplemental padlock for standard hasp, latch, and lockout/tagout hardware accepting a 5/16-inch diameter shackle with 3/4-inch clearance width.
No tools are required to install a padlock onto a compatible hasp or latch. Verify the hasp staple opening is large enough to accept the 5/16-inch shackle diameter before purchase. For LOTO applications, follow OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 lockout/tagout procedures and confirm the padlock is dedicated solely to energy isolation use. Do not force the shackle into an undersized opening, as this can damage the locking mechanism.
