Installation Notes

Installation of this padlock does not require specialized tools. Verify that the hasp or receiver opening accommodates a 5/16-inch shackle diameter and that the shackle clearance of 2-7/16 inches is sufficient for the application before installation. For lockout/tagout use, follow OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 procedures and ensure the lock is applied only after the energy source has been fully isolated. Do not force the shackle into undersized hardware, as this may damage the locking mechanism.
