The MASTER LOCK 6127KA-12G102 is a laminated steel padlock built for industrial and commercial security applications. The body measures 2-5/8 inches wide and is constructed from layered laminated steel for impact and weather resistance. The shackle is made from boron alloy steel, offering hardened cut resistance, and measures 7/16 inches in diameter, 7/8 inches in width, and 1-3/8 inches in clearance height. A 5-pin cylinder provides strong pick resistance. The keyed-alike configuration allows multiple locks to operate on a single key, making it a practical choice for facilities, job sites, and fleet operations managed by trades professionals.
This padlock is suited for securing equipment lockouts, tool cribs, gate hasps, electrical panel lockout procedures, and general-purpose security on commercial and industrial job sites. The keyed-alike feature is commonly specified when a single technician or crew needs to operate several locks without carrying multiple keys. The black color finish is standard for this model. It is appropriate for both indoor and outdoor use where laminated steel construction provides adequate environmental protection.
Designed as a keyed-alike padlock for use with standard hasp and staple hardware across industrial, commercial, and facilities applications. Specific keyed-alike group matching is determined by the key code suffix; verify key group compatibility with other locks in the same series before ordering.
Padlock installation does not require specialized tools, but verify that hasp or staple hardware is rated to match the shackle diameter of 7/16 inches before use. For lockout/tagout (LOTO) applications, installation and use must conform to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 energy control procedures. Inspect the shackle and cylinder for damage before each use. Do not force the shackle closed on an oversized staple, as this can damage the locking mechanism.
