The MASTER BRAND 10002 is an oil-based interior primer, sealer, and stainblocker formulated to stop severe stains before topcoating. It blocks water, smoke, tannin, ink, pencil, felt marker, and grease stains while also sealing pet, food, and smoke odors into porous substrates. The formula dries to touch in 30 minutes and accepts a topcoat in as little as 1 hour. Painting contractors, remodelers, and experienced DIYers reach for this product when latex primers are not sufficient for the job at hand. It is supplied in a 1-quart size and weighs approximately 2.88 pounds.

This primer is intended for interior use on surfaces that present heavy staining, odor contamination, or high porosity. Suitable substrates include wood, drywall, plaster, paneling, wallpaper, masonry, brick, painted metal, and properly prepared glossy surfaces. It is well suited for residential renovation work where smoke or water damage has occurred, or where pet odors have penetrated wall and ceiling surfaces.
