The MARSHALLTOWN 14514 is a wood float designed for concrete and plaster finishing work. Built from seasoned mahogany stock milled to 0.5 inches thick, it delivers a consistently smooth surface texture when used on freshly placed concrete, stucco, or plaster. The working face measures 14 inches in length by 3.5 inches in width, giving finishers a stable platform for floating and leveling operations. Masonry contractors, concrete finishers, and plasterers reach for this tool when a smooth, open texture is needed before final troweling or texturing passes.
This float is suited for residential and light commercial flatwork, wall plaster, and stucco applications. It performs well on horizontal slabs, garage floors, sidewalks, and vertical plaster surfaces where wood float texture is the specified finish or a preparatory step before steel troweling. The seasoned mahogany construction resists warping during use, maintaining a flat face across the working surface throughout the finishing process.
Designed as a standard wood float for use in concrete, plaster, and stucco finishing applications where a wood float texture or preparatory floating pass is required.
Wood floats are used by trained concrete finishers and plasterers as part of the finishing sequence on fresh concrete or plaster. Work the float in overlapping circular or straight passes once the surface has lost its bleed water sheen. Keep the leading edge slightly raised to avoid digging into the surface. Clean the float face with water after each use to extend the service life of the mahogany.
