The MARS mars-85020 is a non-metallic, liquid-tight 90-degree conduit connector manufactured from PVC. It is designed to terminate liquid-tight flexible non-metallic conduit (LFNC) at junction boxes, equipment enclosures, and panel knockouts where a right-angle entry is required. The 90-degree elbow body reduces stress on the conduit run when routing into tight spaces or when the conduit must change direction close to the termination point. This connector is sized for 1/2 inch trade size conduit and is suited for use in wet, damp, or corrosive environments where a metallic fitting would be unsuitable.
This connector is a common fit for low-voltage control wiring, HVAC equipment connections, motor terminations, and similar applications where flexible liquid-tight conduit is specified. The PVC construction makes it appropriate for outdoor condensing units, rooftop equipment, pool and spa wiring runs, and any installation where exposure to moisture, chemicals, or corrosive atmospheres is a concern. It is installed by licensed electricians and HVAC technicians working under NEC requirements for liquid-tight conduit systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/2 inch trade size liquid-tight flexible non-metallic conduit systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with NEC Article 356 governing liquid-tight flexible nonmetallic conduit. De-energize all circuits at the breaker before beginning conduit termination work. Verify the connector is fully seated and the locknut is tightened securely against the enclosure wall to maintain the liquid-tight seal. Do not over-tighten the PVC body, as excessive force can crack the fitting.
