The MARKAL 96973 is a liquid paint marker designed for marking on oily and hard-to-mark surfaces where standard markers fail to adhere. Fitted with a bullet-shaped tip, it delivers consistent, opaque pink lines on a wide range of industrial materials including steel, iron, aluminum, pipe and tube stock, plastic, and rubber. At 0.05 pounds, it is a compact, single-unit tool suited for shop floors, fabrication facilities, pipe yards, and service work where surface condition is rarely ideal.
This marker is used across trades wherever oily or contaminated surfaces require clear, lasting identification marks. Plumbers and pipefitters use it to mark cut lines and orientation on pipe and tube. Sheet metal and HVAC technicians use it to label components before assembly. Tire and rubber fabricators rely on it for batch coding and defect marking. It is equally applicable in electrical and mechanical maintenance settings for tagging parts during service.
Designed for use on steel and iron, aluminum, pipes and tubes, plastic, and rubber and tire surfaces, including oily or otherwise contaminated substrates where conventional markers will not bond.
No installation is required for this marker. Shake the marker before use and depress the tip on a scrap surface to prime the paint flow. Store with the cap secured to prevent the tip from drying out. Dispose of spent markers in accordance with local regulations for paint-containing materials.
