The MARKAL 96653 is a liquid paint marker with a metal ball tip designed to lay down thick, opaque paint lines on a wide range of industrial and trade surfaces. The ball tip allows the marker to write in any direction, including overhead, making it well suited for marking pipe runs, conduit, structural steel, and other components in tight or inverted positions. Yellow pigment provides high visibility against dark substrates common in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in work. The marker weighs 0.44 pounds and is sold individually.
This marker is used in commercial and residential trade applications where a durable, weather-resistant paint mark is needed on surfaces that standard ink markers will not adhere to. Typical install scenarios include labeling steel pipe, iron fittings, concrete slabs, asphalt, masonry, plastic conduit, rubber hose, tires, and cloth or fabric materials. It is commonly used by pipefitters, electricians, plumbers, and general contractors during layout, inspection, and system identification work.
Designed for use on steel, iron, concrete, stone, asphalt, masonry, plastic, rubber, tires, and cloth or fabric surfaces across industrial and trade applications.
No power shutoff or special tools are required to use this marker. Shake the marker before use and press the tip on a scrap surface to prime paint flow before marking critical components. Keep caps secured when not in use to prevent tip drying. Dispose of spent markers in accordance with local regulations for paint-containing materials.
