The MARKAL 82468 is an Ultrascan Fluorescent GMR (Grease, Metal, and Rubber) marker designed for high-visibility marking on demanding trade and industrial surfaces. The fluorescent Neon Orange 31 formulation is engineered to show up clearly under both standard and ultraviolet light conditions, making it a practical choice for inspection, identification, and layout work in low-light or high-contrast environments. Each marker measures 11/16 inches in diameter and 4.75 inches in length, providing a solid, hand-filling grip suited to frequent jobsite use. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical trades rely on GMR markers for marking pipe, conduit, metal components, rubber gaskets, and fabricated assemblies.
The MARKAL 82468 is suited for use on metal ductwork, copper and steel pipe, rubber hoses, conduit runs, and structural components where standard markers or paint pens fail to adhere or remain legible. The fluorescent formulation is especially useful in confined mechanical spaces and inspection workflows where marks must remain visible after handling. Sold in a box of 12 markers, this format supports crew-level stocking for service fleets, shop fabrication, and installation teams working across multiple jobsites.
Designed as a standard GMR-style replacement or replenishment marker compatible with typical MARKAL marker holders that accept 11/16-inch diameter sticks.
GMR markers are a hand-applied marking consumable and require no tools or power connections. Store markers horizontally or tip-down to maintain consistent pigment flow to the marking tip. Avoid exposing markers to extreme heat or prolonged direct sunlight during storage, as this can affect the fluorescent formulation. Dispose of spent markers in accordance with local regulations for solvent-based or pigment-based materials.
