The MARKAL 81223 is a high-temperature paint stick marker engineered for marking metal and glass surfaces that are heated to extreme temperatures. It applies a visible black mark on red-hot surfaces with a working temperature range of 4000 degrees F to 16000 degrees F (2040 degrees C to 8710 degrees C). The solid paint stick formula bonds on contact, leaving a readable identification mark even at temperatures where conventional inks or labels would instantly fail.
