The MANCHESTER TANK 68270-P21371 is a 250-gallon horizontal aboveground propane tank designed for residential, commercial, and industrial propane storage. Built and tested to ASME Section VIII Division I Code requirements, this tank ships vacuum pre-purged and ready for filling. It arrives fully fitted with Rego valves and a Rochester liquid level gauge, reducing setup time on site. The container is pressure rated at 250 PSI at 400 degrees F. Stainless steel data plates are standard. All welds are x-rayed and pressure tested per ASME Section VIII Division I requirements, followed by pre- and post-valve leak inspections. Licensed propane technicians and qualified service contractors are the typical installing trades.
This tank suits a broad range of applications including home heating systems, commercial cooking operations, construction site heating, crop drying, dry cleaning, and temporary heat supply. The horizontal orientation and aboveground configuration make it well suited for properties where underground installation is not practical. The white exterior finish reflects heat and is standard for above-grade residential and light commercial propane installations. Manchester Tank produces this unit domestically and registers it with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.
Designed as an aboveground horizontal propane storage tank for residential home heating systems and commercial or industrial propane supply applications including heating, cooking, construction, and agricultural use.
Installation must be performed by a licensed propane service technician in accordance with NFPA 58 and all applicable local codes. Shut off all propane supply and verify zero pressure before connecting or disconnecting any fittings. Aboveground horizontal tanks require a level, stable base and must be positioned at code-required clearances from structures, ignition sources, and property lines. Do not alter, re-stamp, or modify the ASME data plate or pressure relief valve.
