The MADISON M8000 is a miniature liquid level switch designed for float-actuated on/off control in liquid systems handling general-purpose and acidic fluid conditions. It uses a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) switching configuration and accepts a 1/8 inch threaded connection for direct mounting into tanks, reservoirs, or piping. Rated to 100 psi maximum operating pressure and a maximum temperature of 105 degrees F, this switch suits a wide range of low-to-medium pressure liquid monitoring applications. The polypropylene body provides resistance to acidic media. Voltage ratings of 120V AC and 240V AC make it adaptable to standard single-phase control circuits. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial service technicians are the typical installers.
The M8000 is suited for general-purpose liquid level sensing in residential and light commercial applications where float-based switching is required. Its 1 inch float diameter and 0.6 float specific gravity rating make it appropriate for water-based and mildly acidic liquid environments. Typical install scenarios include sump systems, chemical feed tanks, condensate reservoirs, and similar fluid containment or monitoring applications where a compact, threaded float switch is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install miniature float switch for general-purpose liquid level control applications in residential and commercial systems requiring a 1/8 inch threaded SPST float switch rated for acidic conditions.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician familiar with float switch wiring and fluid system service. Shut off system power and isolate the liquid supply before removing or installing the switch. Verify thread compatibility and use appropriate thread sealant rated for the liquid media prior to installation. Wiring must comply with applicable NEC requirements for the voltage and load involved.
