The MADISON M4300 is a full-size liquid level float switch designed for general-purpose liquid sensing applications, including fuels. It features a 1/4-inch NPT thread connection, a brass and Buna-N body construction, and a rated maximum pressure of 150 psi. The switch operates on a single-pole single-throw (SPST) logic and is rated for 120 volts AC and 240 volts AC service. With a float diameter of 1.25 inches and a float specific gravity rating of 0.45, it is suited for low-density liquids. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this switch in tanks, sumps, and reservoirs where automatic level detection is required.
The M4300 is applicable in both residential and light commercial settings where liquid level monitoring or pump control is needed. Its general-purpose rating, combined with compatibility with fuel media, makes it a practical choice for day tanks, fuel storage systems, sump applications, and water holding vessels. The brass body with Buna-N seals provides resistance to a range of liquid media encountered in standard trade installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation float switch for general-purpose liquid level control applications involving water, fuels, and similar media in residential and commercial tank systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, electrician, or qualified technician familiar with liquid-level control wiring and applicable NEC requirements. Shut off all power to the circuit and depressurize the tank or piping before threading the switch into the port. Apply appropriate thread sealant compatible with the media being sensed. Verify float orientation and swing clearance inside the tank before completing the installation.
