The MACLEAN POWER SYSTEMS F830900 is a 36-inch drive steel rod designed for use with Duckbill DS-68 earth anchor systems. This rod serves as the driving tool that installs Duckbill 68 and 88-DTS anchors into soil without excavation. The rod transmits impact force from a driving tool or hammer directly to the anchor head, seating the anchor at the correct depth. It is a standard accessory in earth anchor installation kits used by utility crews, telecommunications contractors, and civil construction trades for guy wire anchoring, equipment tie-downs, and structural bracing applications.
This drive rod is used in conjunction with Duckbill 68 and 88-DTS series anchors in residential, commercial, and utility-grade installations. Typical applications include anchoring utility poles, guying telecommunications structures, and securing temporary or permanent equipment against uplift and lateral loads. The rod is driven into the ground using a standard rotary hammer or pneumatic driver, making it suitable for fieldwork where trenchless anchor installation is required.
Designed for use with Duckbill DS-68 earth anchors and 68/88-DTS anchor series as specified by MACLEAN POWER SYSTEMS.
Installation is typically performed by utility linemen, civil contractors, or qualified field crews. Before driving, confirm soil conditions are appropriate for the anchor model being used and that the drive rod is fully engaged with the anchor head. Use a rotary hammer, pneumatic impact driver, or manual driving tool rated for steel rod driving. Never use the rod as a pry bar or lateral load tool, as this may damage the rod or compromise anchor seating.
