The M.K. MORSE 177306 is a 1-7/8 inch diameter bi-metal hole saw built for demanding cutting applications across a wide range of materials. Constructed from M42 high-speed steel bi-metal, it delivers the hardness needed to cut through steel, cast iron, hardened steel, ceramic, and masonry materials without sacrificing the toughness required to resist tooth breakage. The variable pitch pattern at 5/6 teeth per inch reduces vibration and heat buildup during cuts, extending blade life on difficult materials. Licensed tradespeople and contractors working in mechanical, electrical, and construction trades rely on this saw for consistent, clean holes in both hard and soft substrates.
This hole saw is designed for use across a broad range of residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Its material application range includes acoustic tile, asbestos board, brick, cast iron, cement board, ceramic, cinderblock, composite, computer flooring, fiberglass, Formica, hardened steel, particleboard, and steel. The 1.937 inch cutting depth makes it suited for thicker materials and deeper penetration cuts typical in construction and mechanical system installation work.
Compatible with the MHS30 mandrel system. Designed as an OEM-style replacement hole saw for use with standard bi-metal hole saw arbors accepting 1-7/8 inch diameter saws.
Installation is performed by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors using a standard drill or drill press with a compatible mandrel and pilot bit. Secure the workpiece before cutting and operate at the appropriate drill speed for the material being cut — slower speeds are recommended for harder materials such as cast iron and hardened steel. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves. Inspect the saw for tooth damage before each use and replace if teeth are stripped or the body is cracked.
