The M.K. MORSE 153404100C-MSC is a carbon steel band saw blade coil stock designed for continuous cutting applications in metal fabrication, woodworking, and general trade shop environments. The coil format provides 100 feet of blade material, allowing shops to cut custom blade lengths to fit a variety of band saw machines. At 1/2 inch wide and 0.025 inches thick, this blade is built for flexible-back operation, reducing fatigue and breakage during extended cutting cycles. The 4 teeth per inch (TPI) constant pitch and raker tooth set make it suited to medium-to-coarse material removal. A licensed technician or experienced shop hand typically handles coil stock fabrication and blade welding.
This coil stock is appropriate for production or service shops that run band saws at varying blade lengths and prefer to weld their own blades in-house. The skip tooth form improves chip clearance during cuts in softer metals, plastics, or wood, while the flexible back construction accommodates tighter radius cuts and continuous-duty cycles. It is commonly stocked by fabrication shops, HVAC contractors cutting sheet metal, plumbing supply shops, and general trade maintenance facilities.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement coil stock compatible with band saw machines that accept 1/2 inch wide blades. Specific machine compatibility depends on the blade length welded from this coil and the wheel diameter and guide configuration of the saw in use.
Coil stock must be cut to the required blade length and welded using a blade welder before installation on a band saw. Power down and disconnect the saw from its power source before removing the old blade or installing a new one. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling uncoiled band saw stock, as the edges are sharp and the coil can spring unexpectedly. Blade tension should be set according to the saw manufacturer's specifications after installation.
