Product Description

The M-D BUILDING PRODUCTS 52000 is a bronze V-strip door jamb weatherstrip designed to seal the perimeter of exterior doors against air infiltration and moisture intrusion. Supplied as a continuous 1-1/8-inch-wide by 17-foot roll, a single package provides enough material to cover both vertical jambs and the head jamb of a standard 3-foot by 7-foot door. The V-shaped profile flexes under door pressure to maintain a consistent seal along the full length of the jamb. Brass-plated nails are included. Installation does not require removing the door from its hinges.

This weatherstrip is intended for installation on wood door jambs in residential entry doors, interior doors where draft control is needed, and wood-framed windows. The pre-punched nail holes eliminate the need for drilling and allow for consistent fastener spacing along the strip. The product is sold as a single 17-foot continuous roll, giving the installer flexibility to cut each run to exact length on site. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by carpenters or general maintenance personnel using a hammer and the included brass-plated nails. Position the V-strip along the jamb stop with the open side of the V facing the door, align the pre-punched holes, and nail in place without closing the V-profile during fastening. Confirm the door closes and latches freely after installation to verify the seal is not over-compressed.
