The M.A. FORD. CDACRM0510 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding production and maintenance environments. It measures 5.10 mm (0.2008 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 153 mm (3.23 inches) and a helical flute length of 44 mm (1.73 inches). The 142-degree point angle promotes aggressive cutting and reduces thrust in hard or abrasive materials. The bright/uncoated finish suits applications where coating compatibility must be controlled. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and industrial maintenance pros use this bit in CNC and manual drilling operations where carbide rigidity outperforms high-speed steel.
This drill is suited for through-hole and blind-hole drilling in ferrous alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials found in automotive, aerospace, and general metalworking applications. The 5xD flute-by-diameter ratio supports deeper drilling passes with adequate chip evacuation. The straight cylindrical shank with a 6 mm (0.24 inch) diameter fits standard drill chucks and collet systems used in both CNC machining centers and bench-mounted drill presses. The coolant-through design allows internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat and extending tool life in extended-run production settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling selection for applications requiring a DIN 6537L solid carbide jobber drill in the 5.00 mm to 6.00 mm (0.2000 to 0.2500 inch) size range, compatible with any standard drill chuck or collet accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment and safe tooling practices. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the straight shank fully and evenly in the collet or chuck to prevent runout. When using the coolant-through feature, verify that the coolant system pressure and flow rate are compatible with the machine spindle before operation.
