The M.A. FORD CDACR2656 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Sized at 17/64 inches (0.2656 inches decimal), it features a 142-degree drill point angle optimized for flat entry and reduced thrust on harder materials. The bit runs a right-hand helical flute geometry with a double margin design that supports hole quality and concentricity. Overall length is 3.58 inches (153 mm), with a straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.315 inches (8 mm). Coolant-through capability makes it compatible with through-spindle coolant setups on CNC machining centers. Machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and precision drilling technicians are the primary installers.
This drill bit is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision boring setups where hole tolerance and surface finish are critical. The uncoated solid carbide construction performs well in non-ferrous metals, composites, plastics, and certain ferrous alloys where carbide hardness provides an advantage over high-speed steel. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio allows drilling at depths up to approximately five times the bit diameter. DIN 6537L specification compliance ensures dimensional consistency for tool holders and collets built to that standard. Individual packaged quantity is one bit per unit.

Do not use carbide tooling in setups with excessive runout, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to fracture under lateral loading.
