The M.A. FORD. 92075006 is a single-end, three-flute countersink machined from high-speed steel (HSS) for right-hand cutting applications. It features a 120-degree included angle and a 3/4-inch (0.7500 inch) head diameter, making it suited for deburring, chamfering, and seat preparation in a range of materials. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/2 inch in diameter and the tool runs 2 inches in overall length. HSS construction provides adequate hardness and toughness for production shop and field use without the brittleness of carbide. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians typically install and operate this tool in standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power equipment.
This countersink is appropriate for use on aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, high-nickel steel, Monel, and plastic workpieces. The 120-degree geometry is commonly specified for aerospace and general metalworking fastener seat preparation where a wider chamfer angle is required. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with conventional clockwise spindle rotation, which covers the vast majority of drilling and milling equipment used in commercial and light industrial environments. It ships as a single-piece unit with a minimum order quantity of one.
Rated for use on aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, high-nickel steel, Monel, and plastic. Fits any drill press, machining center, or handheld power tool capable of accepting a 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation is performed by machinists or qualified shop technicians. Secure the 1/2-inch shank firmly in a collet, drill chuck, or tool holder rated for the operating speed before use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the power source is locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Do not exceed the recommended surface footage for HSS tooling on the specific workpiece material, and use appropriate cutting fluid where applicable to extend tool life.
