The M.A. FORD. 92075001 is a single-end, three-flute countersink machined from high-speed steel for use in chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations. It features a 60-degree included angle with a corresponding 30-degree centerline angle, making it a standard choice for producing clean, accurate countersunk seats in a range of workpiece materials. The 3/4-inch head diameter and 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank keep the tool compatible with common drill chucks and collet holders. At 3 inches overall length, it provides adequate reach for most benchtop and floor-standing drill press setups. The bright, uncoated finish suits general-purpose applications where specialized coating is not required.
This countersink is suited for use in machine shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance environments where technicians need to prep holes in aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, high-nickel steel, Monel, and plastic. It is appropriate for residential and commercial fabrication work alike. The right-hand cutting direction is the standard orientation for conventional drill press and CNC spindle use. It is installed without a pilot, so the operator is responsible for centering on the existing hole. Machinists, toolmakers, and skilled maintenance trades are the typical end users.
Rated for use in aluminum, brass, high-nickel steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, Monel, and plastic workpieces. Fits any drill press, mill, or hand-held drill with a 1/2-inch or larger chuck capacity.
This countersink is installed by a machinist or skilled tradesperson into a standard drill chuck or collet holder. Power down and de-energize the spindle fully before mounting or removing the tool. Secure the workpiece with appropriate clamping before operation — unsecured parts can grab and cause injury. Verify spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before engaging the cut.
