The M.A. FORD. 92050004 is a single-end countersink designed for deburring and seat preparation in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS), it features a 100-degree included angle and 3 flutes for smooth, controlled material removal. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/4 inch in diameter, with a 1/2 inch head diameter and a 2 inch overall length. This tool is suited for use in drill presses, CNC machines, and hand-held electric drills where consistent countersink geometry is required. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance trades are the primary installers.
This countersink is intended for use on a broad range of materials including aluminum, brass, high-nickel steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, Monel, and plastic. The 100-degree angle is commonly specified for aerospace and general-purpose fastener seating where a wider seat angle is required. Its compact 2 inch overall length makes it practical for tight-clearance setups on benchtop machines or portable drilling equipment. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation in most shop and field applications.
Designed as an OEM-style countersink for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand drills accepting a 1/4 inch straight shank. Compatible material applications include aluminum, brass, high-nickel steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, Monel, and plastic.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the 1/4 inch shank firmly in the chuck or collet before use and confirm the spindle is at a full stop before making any adjustments or tool changes. Set spindle speed appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter following standard machining guidelines. Wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece to prevent rotation during cutting.
