The M.A. FORD 92025003 is a 90-degree included angle countersink designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this 3-flute tool features a 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 1-1/4-inch overall length. The 90-degree geometry produces clean, consistent countersunk seats for flathead fasteners in a wide range of materials. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard drill press and milling machine spindles. This is a single-end, no-pilot tool suited for shop floors, maintenance environments, and light production work.
This countersink is appropriate for use on aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, high-nickel steel, Monel, and plastic. The high-speed steel construction handles the demands of softer metals and non-ferrous materials without chipping. Its compact 1-1/4-inch overall length suits close-tolerance setups in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held drilling applications where a short, rigid toolholder setup is preferred. Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians — secure the 1/4-inch shank firmly in the collet or chuck before operation and confirm spindle rotation is set to right-hand before engaging the workpiece. Always clamp the workpiece securely to prevent movement during countersinking. Start at a reduced feed rate when entering an existing hole to avoid chatter and maintain concentricity. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the tool if chipping or wear is visible to avoid poor finish quality or workpiece damage.
