The M.A. FORD. 79300003 is a 6-flute, 90-degree included angle countersink machined from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish. Designed for right-hand cutting, it features a 3-inch head diameter and a 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank. At 5-1/4 inches overall length, this is a single-end tool with no pilot and a 1-inch tip nose diameter. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals reach for this countersink when they need clean, consistent countersinking across a broad range of workpiece materials. The 6-flute geometry reduces chatter and supports a smooth finish at the countersink entry.
This countersink is suited to both manual and CNC machining setups in job shop, production, and maintenance environments. It handles chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations on a wide array of materials including mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastic. Its straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill press chucks and milling machine tool holders.
Compatible with standard drill press chucks, milling machines, and CNC machining centers accepting a 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations on alloy steel, aluminum, brass, cast iron, high-nickel steel, high-tensile steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, mild steel, Monel, plastic, and stainless steel workpieces.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians. Secure the 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank firmly in the tool holder or chuck before operation, and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. Power down and lock out the machine before inserting or removing the tool. Always use appropriate cutting fluid or lubrication for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain surface finish quality.
