The M.A. FORD. 79100004 is a 6-flute, single-end countersink designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations in metal and plastic workpieces. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it features a 100-degree included angle and a 1-inch head diameter. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.5 inches in diameter, and the tool runs at an overall length of 2.75 inches. Right-hand cutting geometry suits standard CNC and manual drill press setups. No pilot is included. This tool is installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance professionals working with drill presses, CNC machining centers, or hand-held power tools.
This countersink is built for production and job-shop use across a wide range of materials. The 100-degree included angle is commonly specified for aerospace and industrial fastener seat preparation where standard 82-degree or 90-degree countersinks do not meet print requirements. With a 0.25-inch tip diameter and 6-flute construction, the tool produces clean, chatter-free entry geometry. It is suited to both light deburring passes and full countersink profiles in structural and precision assemblies.
Designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring applications in alloy steel, aluminum, brass, cast iron, high-nickel steel, high-tensile steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, mild steel, Monel, plastic, and stainless steel workpieces.
Install the 0.5-inch straight shank into a compatible drill chuck or collet and verify runout before beginning cuts. Power down the spindle completely before changing or inspecting this tool. Use appropriate cutting fluid for ferrous and stainless materials to extend tool life and improve finish quality. Follow shop safety protocols and applicable OSHA machine-guarding requirements when operating drill presses or machining centers.
