The M.A. FORD. 79000001 is a 7-piece high speed steel countersink set covering head diameters from 0.25 inches to 1 inch. Each countersink features a 6-flute design with a 60-degree included angle and a straight shank, delivering clean, consistent countersunk holes with minimal chatter. The bright polished finish reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. This set is suited for use in machine shops, fabrication facilities, and general metalworking environments where multiple countersink sizes are needed on a single job. A licensed machinist or skilled technician is the typical end user.
This set is designed for countersinking operations across a wide range of materials including mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, high tensile steel, high nickel steel, cast iron, Monel, brass, aluminum, aluminum alloy, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastics. The 7-piece assortment covers common fastener head sizes in one storage case, making it practical for production environments and tool cribs that need quick size changes without sourcing individual tools. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard drill press and CNC spindle setups.
Designed for countersinking operations in alloy steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, brass, cast iron, high nickel steel, high tensile steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, mild steel, Monel, plastics, and stainless steel workpieces using any drill press, mill, or CNC machine with a compatible straight-shank chuck or collet.
Install each countersink into a properly sized drill chuck or collet and confirm the shank is seated and tightened securely before starting the spindle. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tools. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when working with ferrous and high-strength materials to extend tool life and improve finish quality. Single-end tools should never be reversed or used in a left-hand spindle rotation.
