The M.A. FORD. 78125002 is a solid carbide countersink designed for precision chamfering, countersinking, and deburring across a wide range of metallic and non-metallic materials. It features a 1.25-inch head diameter, an 82-degree included angle, and a six-flute right-hand cutting geometry that produces clean, consistent countersunk profiles. The 0.5-inch straight cylindrical shank and 3-inch overall length make it compatible with standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual milling setups. A bright, uncoated finish is retained from the solid carbide substrate, which provides inherent hardness and wear resistance without an added coating layer. This tool is suited for production and maintenance machining environments where repeatability and material versatility are required.
This countersink is applicable in both production shop and maintenance-repair-and-operations settings. Its multi-material compatibility makes it a practical single-tool solution for machinists working with mixed workpiece materials on the same setup. Typical applications include preparing holes for flat-head fasteners, breaking sharp edges on drilled holes, and creating chamfers on part features. The six-flute design reduces chatter compared to fewer-flute alternatives, making it effective on harder alloys including stainless steel, high-tensile steel, high-nickel alloys, and Monel, as well as softer materials such as aluminum, brass, magnesium, and plastic.

Fits any machine spindle or chuck accepting a 0.5-inch straight cylindrical shank.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Secure the shank fully in the collet or drill chuck and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not exceed the recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material being machined.
