The M.A. FORD. 69045030 is a ball-shaped abrasive bur designed for precision material removal in tight or contoured areas. Built to industry specification SD-41-F, it features a carbide head in a fine tooth style, making it well-suited for controlled deburring, blending, and surface finishing. The cutting diameter measures 0.0937 inches (3/32 inch) with a length of cut of 0.0781 inches (5/64 inch). The 1/8-inch shank fits standard die grinder collets and compatible rotary tool holders. Licensed tradespeople and machinists working on close-tolerance applications will find this bur appropriate for finish work where coarser options leave unwanted surface marks.
This bur is rated for use on a broad range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and other hard materials. It is sized for detailed work in areas where larger burs cannot reach. Typical applications include weld blending, port work, mold finishing, and deburring of drilled or machined features. The fine tooth geometry removes material gradually, reducing the risk of overshooting a dimension. Overall tool length is 1.5 inches, keeping the shank-to-head ratio practical for most handheld pneumatic and electric die grinders.
Designed as an SD-41-F standard abrasive bur with a 1/8-inch shank, compatible with die grinders, rotary tools, and flexible shaft machines that accept 1/8-inch collets. Suitable for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium.
Installed by machinists, toolmakers, and metal fabricators using pneumatic or electric die grinders. Ensure the tool is fully seated and the collet nut is secured before operation. Always wear appropriate eye protection and confirm the grinder speed rating does not exceed 90,000 RPM. Inspect the shank for wear or runout before each use and replace if any damage is present.
