The M.A. FORD. 67112503 is a single-end, zero-flute countersink designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, it features a 90-degree included angle and a 45-degree centerline angle. The 1-1/8 inch head diameter delivers a maximum cutting diameter of 1.030 inches. A 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank and 2-7/8 inch overall length make it compatible with standard drill presses, milling machines, and hand-held power tools. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and fabricators install this tool when consistent chamfer geometry is required across a range of materials.
This countersink is suited for production and job-shop environments handling a broad material mix. It performs on alloy steel, mild steel, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, stainless steel, cast iron, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastics. The zero-flute design reduces chatter and produces a smooth, burr-free seat, making it particularly useful for deburring drilled holes and preparing fastener seats in both ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. No pilot is included, so the operator centers the tool over the existing hole.
Designed as an OEM-style single-end countersink suitable for use in drill presses, CNC mills, and hand-held power tools accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and operation of this countersink should be performed by qualified machinists or fabricators familiar with rotary cutting tools. Ensure the spindle or chuck is fully de-energized and at a complete stop before mounting or removing the tool. Secure the 1/2 inch shank firmly in the chuck or collet to the full depth of engagement before operation. Use appropriate feeds and speeds for the workpiece material, and wear eye protection in accordance with applicable shop safety standards.
