The M.A. FORD. 67043702 is a single-flute countersink machined from high-speed steel for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations. It features an 82-degree included angle and a 7/16-inch head diameter, making it well-suited for standard flat-head fastener seat preparation. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/4 inch in diameter with an overall length of 2 inches. The bright, uncoated finish allows operators to visually inspect the cutting surface between uses. This tool is installed by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians working in production or MRO environments.
This countersink is designed for use on a broad range of workpiece materials in both manual and machine-assisted drilling setups. Compatible materials include mild steel, alloy steel, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, stainless steel, cast iron, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastic. It fits standard 1/4-inch drill chuck or collet setups and is suited for bench drill presses, CNC drill units, and hand-held electric drills where controlled countersink depth is required. The single-end, no-pilot design gives the operator direct control over positioning and depth.
Rated for use on alloy steel, aluminum, brass, cast iron, high-nickel steel, high-tensile steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, mild steel, Monel, plastic, and stainless steel. Fits any drill press, CNC unit, or hand drill accepting a 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
This tool is installed by machinists or maintenance technicians in powered drill equipment. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation, and confirm the workpiece is clamped or fixtured to prevent movement. Power down the spindle completely before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not exceed the recommended feed rate for the workpiece material, and inspect cutting edges regularly for wear or chipping.
